IMAN: Integrated Monitoring and Advanced Notification IMAN is Blueprint Networks' in-house monitoring, notification, reporting, and analysis system. It allows us to intelligently monitor virtually any network-aware device using a powerful scripting language to describe and handle events of all sorts and complexity. This system is an integral part of our Blunet service, allowing Blueprint to ensure its customers the highest levels of Quality of Service. In addition, some customers contract with us for pure managed monitoring, where we respond to alerts and correct the problem while keeping the customer well informed. Other clients use our self-service monitoring service where IMAN sends alerts to the client's own personnel who handle the situation. To learn more about IMAN, see our introducing document. Diesel-Engine, or simply Diesel, is Blueprint's own interpreted language, a scripting language, suited to run within web servers, custom applications, or as a stand-alone language interpreter. This allows scripting of a wide range of software aspects, ranging from dynamic web-pages to general data processing and handling. The language was designed from the ground up to be as secure, simple, and easy to use as possible, while offering a very large base of high-level user functions.
